Dr. Rahul Mukherji, Prof. Heildelberg University, Germany visits Mastipur, Bodhgaya

Deshkal Society under the auspices of Bodhi Kendra, Bodhgaya invited Dr. Rahul Mukherji on 18th August to visit their training centre, Mastipur Village, Bodhgaya. The media has given wide coverage to this initiative and Dr. Mukherji's visit - https://aimamedia.org/newsdetails.aspx?nid=137365

The aim of this program is to create sustainable livelihoods for rural women and adolescent girls by way of imparting training on Sewing, Designing and Embroidery in Buddhist Arts and Sculptures of Bodhgaya. On this occasion, Dr. Mukherji praised this initiative and reflected that Deshkal has been moving forward in a true sense the philosophical tradition of Buddhism which is derived from the four noble truths of disease, the cause, the care and the medicine in order to mitigate the suffering of humankind.
